Backflow Preventers

In water supply systems, water is normally maintained at a significant pressure to enable water to flow from the tap, shower, or other fixture. Water pressure may fail or be reduced when a water main bursts, pipes freeze, or there is unexpectedly high demand on the water system (for example, when several fire hydrants are opened). Reduced pressure in the pipe may allow contaminated water from the soil, from storage, or from other sources to be drawn up into the system. A backflow prevention device is used to protect potable water supplies from contamination or pollution due to backflow. Pine State Services has certified technicians who can assist you with all your backflow preventer needs–just call (207) 883-1200 to schedule your appointment today!

Chuck F. from Portland, ME says:

“My wife and I are always pleased with the high level of service we receive from you. We experienced the same great service once again this week when we experienced a loss of our hot water supply. My wife’s in home salon depends on hot water so you can only imagine her (and my) delight when your service truck pulled up within a couple of hours of my call to you! Her work went uninterrupted. Thank you very much!”
